About Me

Hey, I'm Fer, a Senior SRE/DevOps engineer based in Asunción, Paraguay.
My day-to-day life is at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, automation, and reliability, working with AWS, Kubernetes, and the tools that keep systems running at scale. A while back I decided to go deeper on Go. Not just as a scripting language to replace Bash, but as a proper engineering discipline, learning how to design clean systems, write idiomatic Golang code, and build tools that last. This blog is that journey, written in public. I write about Golang, AWS, and DevOps, from fundamentals to production patterns. Some posts are things I wish had existed when I was learning. Some are things I figured out the hard way. If you're a DevOps engineer picking up Go, or a Go developer curious about cloud infrastructure, you're in the right place.
Outside the terminal
Engineering is what I do, it's not all I am.
When I'm not deep in Devops stuff or Go code, I like coffee and try to learn jazz guitar. I also like to train jiu-jitsu and MMA. And I started liking photography (maybe a blog about this later).
Let's connect
I'm always happy to talk about Go, infrastructure, DevOps, or anything!
